RAN CMMI Team Awarded "2006 ACT Project of the Year" While employed at ASFT Inc. (2000-2006), Christopher Nielsen (founder of the CNP Creative Group) was the lead integrator and key product design architect for the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) graphics and multimedia development. He provided team leadership, architectural design and product development support that made a significant contribution toward "innovation and the advantages of striving for continuous improvement and best practice" for which the RAN CMMI project was recognized.

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) team was recognized with the prestigious "2006 ACT Project of the Year" award at this year's Australian Institute of Project Management Awards Ceremony in Canberra, Australia. The award recognizes the expertise, dedication, and hard work by the entire RCS/AN-BYG1 V8 project team, in Australia and the United States. Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow, Inc (ASFT) has been an integral part of the NAVSEA team since its inception, providing technical documentation, computer based simulation tools, and curriculum development. ASFT Inc. was the key subcontractor for Raytheon Australia's CMMI project team. The AN-BYG1 V8 project involved the development of the tactical command and control system for the Collins class submarine. Judges Comment: The AIPM congratulates the Raytheon project team on its submission which demonstrated the value of innovation and the advantages of striving for continuous improvement and best practice.
